Answer the following questions showing all work. Full credit will not be given to answers without work shown. If you use Minitab Express or StatKey include the appropriate output (copy + paste). If you do hand calculations show your work using the Word equation editor. Clearly identify your final answers. Output without explanation will not receive full credit and answers with no output or explanation will not receive full credit. Round all answers to 3 decimal places. If you have any questions, post them to the course discussion board.

1. In a random sample of 200 children at one school, 22 had an Individualized Education Program (IEP).

A. Use StatKey to construct a 95% bootstrap confidence interval using the percentile method. Take at least 5,000 resamples. Don't forget to include a screenshot from StatKey and to identify your answer.

B. Clearly interpret the meaning of the confidence interval constructed in part A.

C. At the national level we know that 13.0% of all students have an IEP. Given your confidence interval in part A, is there evidence that the proportion of students at this school with an IEP is different from 13.0%? Explain why or why not.

D. What if the sample size were smaller? What if 11 out of 100 children had IEPs? Use StatKey to construct a 95% confidence interval using the percentile methodwith these new data (x=11, n=100). Take at least 5,000 resamples. Don't forget to include a screenshot from StatKey and to identify your answer.

E. How did the change in sample size impact the confidence interval?

F. What if we wanted a more conservative confidence interval? Using the original data (x=22, n=200), construct a 99% confidence interval in StatKey using the percentile method. Take at least 5,000 resamples. Don't forget to include a screenshot from StatKey and to identify your answer.

G. How did the change in confidence level impact the confidence interval?
