A report from your local drug treatment facility has just released a report on the âdrugs of choiceâ of their participants. They have indicated that their participants are the following: 10% heroin, 35% cocaine, 35% methamphetamine, and 20% other drugs. You would like to determine whether those figures are different than the percentages that you see in your arrestee population. Looking at your recent arrest figures, you find that the drug of choice for arrestees is 343 heroin, 662 cocaine, 1177 methamphetamine, and 270 other drugs. Are the drug of choice percentages from the treatment facility significantly different from the âdrug of choice percentages of arrestees? Explain.
