Credit Cards Transactions -

This data is from a Nordstrom branch, showing all the transactions for one year. Data includes Gender, the month of the transaction (we have only 12 month in the year), number of items purchased per transaction and total amount spent on each transaction.

From these credit card transactions please find the following

1. List all 12 months in order from highest to lowest in total spent. Also provide your strategy when it comes to promotions (like offering coupons or sales) in certain months. For example, do you think this store needs to promote more coupons in certain months of the year based on total amount of money spent? Specify the months based on your calculations.

2. Who purchased more items, Males or Females? Support you answer with sum of items for both genders        .

3. According to Empirical Rule, 68% of data fall within one sigma (Standard Deviation), indicate the range of the total spent with in the 68%.                                                               

Automotive -

This is data from a car dealership, it shows the Age, Income, Car Price and Gender of all the customers who purchased their cars in the last year.

1. Compute the Descriptive Stats for Age, Income and Car Price. You will do each one separately.

2. Using frequency distribution for the buyers age starting with 18 years old and ending with 80 years old with a frequency of 4 years range, would you be able to find out the age range of the highest group of buyers? Support your answer with the frequency distribution table.

4. Who tend to buy more cars males or females? Support your answer with a formula or an excel tool.

TV Shows -

According to Nielsen Media Research, the top four TV shows at 8:00 pm, April 6. 2000, were Millionaire, Frasier, Chicago Hope, and Charmed (USA Today, April 3, 2000). Data for a sample of 50 viewers is to the left.

1. Are these qualitative or quantitative data?
