Confidence interval and Hypothesis Testing for proportion.
A politician is considering supporting a new policy but will only do so if it is popular with more than 60 percent of the electorate. A survey of the electorate is conducted, with 1200 individuals sampled, of which 750 supported the new policy.
1.approximation the 95 percent confidence interval for the proportion of the electorate that support this policy
2.Given the politician requirement to support the policy, use a 5 percent significance test to demonstrate whether or not he/she must support it.
