A high school guidance counselor has examined the 60 colleges and universities that are on her "highly recommended" list for her school's graduating seniors. The data she has collected on each college or university include highest degree level offered (1 5 bachelor's, 2 5 master's, 3 5 doctorate), primary support for the school (1 5 public, 2 5 private), type of campus setting (1 5 urban, 2 5 suburban, 3 5 rural), and annual cost for tuition and fees (dollars). The data are in file XR02051.

a. Construct a simple tabulation in which the counts are according to the highest degree level offered.

b. Construct a cross-tabulation describing the schools, using the highest degree level offered and whether the school is public or private as the categorization variables.

c. Construct a display showing the average value for tuition and fees according to highest degree level offered and whether the school is public or private. Do the categorization variables seem to be related to the level of tuition and fees? If so, how?
