1: In a powerful story about India’s liberation from British rule, the author quotes Gandhi as saying “It is not only generals who can plan campaigns,” and “….we will continue to provoke until they respond or change the law. They are not in control. We are.” When we consider these statements along with the fact that the movement continued even after its leaders were imprisoned, what does this tell us about the potential of self-organizing?
