(1) What is the effect of social status and smoking level on the risk of hypertension during pregnancy? Break down your answer into three parts that address each of the three questions below:

(a) State the fitted linear model. Explain the math symbols if necessary. Explain why this model is appropriate.

(b) Report the estimate, standard error, t statistic and p value for each coefficient.

(c) Does social status have a significant impact on the risk of hyper-tension? Does the smoking level have a significant impact on the risk of hypertension?

(2) What is the predicted mean probability of hypertension during pregnancy for women of social class III who smoke 20 or more cigarettes per day? What is this probability for women of the same social class who smoke less than 20 cigarettes per day? What is the probability for women of the same social class who do not smoke?

(3) After applying the Bonferroni correction, is the effect of social status and smoking level still significant (at aE = 0.05)?
