The aim of this question is complete some research on indicators and to arrive at an assessment of the accuracy of such measures in establishing the extent and changes in economic development in a range of regions in the world. Choose 3 countries (Brazil, India and Egypt). Identify four measures that you feel are the most effective means of assessing the level of development of a country. Take the four indicators you have chosen and find out the data for each of those countries from www.nationmaster.com. From the data you have collected and your knowledge of development indicators, rank the countries you have selected in order of 1 to 3 (the most developed country first) using the four development indicators you have investigated. Present your results in table or graph form. Taking all your research into consideration and your knowledge of economic development and growth JUSTIFY your choices of ranking order. Your justification should include; comparing and contrasting your chosen development indicators as a measure of standard of living and development. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each development indicator as a measure of economic development. Maximum word count is 800 words.
