Your department manager now wants you to create a plan for security training and monitoring. Your training plan should include the following elements:

1. A listing of at least 10 items that should be covered during the security training. (Be sure to include security processes and monitoring)

2. A paragraph for each item (10 paragraphs) explaining the item - what should be covered and why

3. Identify where the training should be held.

4. Identify how long the training should last.

5. Identify criteria for a consultant to lead the training (for example, should the consultant hold a credential, should the consultant have experience, etc.) Explain reasoning for criteria.

6. Explain ongoing monitoring activities.

After you've outlined the training plan, create a budget for the training to include the following elements:

1. Amount to be paid to the Consultant * Cost of facilities (such as training room)
2. Costs for food (such as lunch, refreshments or snacks)
3. Cost of materials (such as handouts and training materials)

Write the training plan in the form of a contract that can be used to hire the consultant that will be creating and performing the security training.

To support the ongoing maintenance of security activities, develop the following security tools to be included in the training as a part of the monitoring processes. As an introduction to each tool, describe its purpose, relation to maintaining the legal protection of health information, and how it will be used to assist in security monitoring.

Security tools:

1. Checklist/Form for the maintenance of equipment (such as computer passwords)
2. Checklist/Form to identify security threats (such as use of passwords, location of equipment)

Compile all the components of your plan into one document to submit. Include a cover page, table of contents, introduction and conclusion in APA format. Your conclusion should examine the purpose of a security plan and monitoring activities.
