Assignment

Reading will be provided.

Explain the economic significance of the caselet-2 posted in your weekly reading folder. You can use graphs when appropriate to make your arguments. Focus more on the market while analyzing this article. Keep each caselet analysis to a minimum of 550 words and a maximum of 750 words (without titles). You will lose points 2 points if you fail to do so. In your first caselet writeup you have done fairly a good job. But this time you will improve further your analysis based on reading materials, video clips, and the comments given on your first caselet write up.

A General Caselets Write-Ups Guidelines

This write-up analysis requires you to investigate an economic significance of any action, and needs to analyze why it is significant. As mentioned earlier it has to be somewhere between 500 to 750 words. Follow the following procedures

1. Read and examine the case thoroughly.

- Take notes, highlight relevant facts, underline key problems.

2. Focus your analysis · Identify key players/actions · why did that action take place?

- How did those actions or players impact the output/market?

3. Uncover possible solutions · Review course readings, discussions, outside research, your experience. 4. Select the best solution

- Consider strong supporting evidence, pros, and cons: is this solution realistic?

Finalizing the Case After you have composed the first draft of your case study analysis, read through it to check for any inconsistencies in analysis: Is your argument is supported by the economics theory? Have you provided solid evidence to support your argument?
