Assignment should be 500 - 700 words plus a reference page. The goal of the assignment is to be concise while stating your case.

Topic for the paper is:

In addition to the privilege against self-incrimination which is guaranteed by the Fifth Amendment to the US Constitution, there are four traditional privileged communications that may not be introduced in evidence against the person who made the communication. Discuss the four exemptions and explain the reasons why they exist. Then further discuss whether those communications should continue to be granted such a privilege; if you agree support your position, if you disagree, do likewise. You may also want to explore whether other communications should be clothed with the exemption as well.
