Week 2 Assignment: Examine Notions of Ethical Leadership

Activity Description

Assume you are an instructor of a graduate-level leadership and ethics course.  Compare and contrast the concepts of leadership, trustworthiness, and ethical stewardship in a PowerPoint presentation for your students. Be sure to address the following key components:

Explain how the authors in your readings and additional research define leadership.

  • Interpret the manner in which leaders serve as role models (better or worse) for ethical behavior.
  • Determine the impact the concept of trustworthiness has on the level of trust in organizational leadership.
  • Based on your research, describe the concept of ethical stewardship. Explain which theories you agree with and why; be sure to include supporting examples. Then, discuss theories you disagree with and why.
  • Identify the correlation between leadership, trustworthiness, and ethical stewardship.

Incorporate appropriate animations, transitions, and graphics as well as speaker notes for each slide. The speaker notes may be comprised of brief paragraphs or bulleted lists.

Support your presentation with a minimum of five scholarly resources. In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources, including older articles, may be included.
