REA modeling and database implementation

Modern Sailing club provides sailing lessons and yacht charters to its members. The club also sells basic sailing equipment (gloves, hats, t-shirts, sailing knives, etc). All equipment sales are made in full at time of purchase through a point of sale at the cash register. Lessons and charters are paid in full prior to going out on the water and require that an appointment be made for scheduling purposes. Although unlikely, you can assume that customers may purchase lessons and charters in a single sales transaction.

All inventory purchases require a purchase order. The manager of the club does all the purchase orders. One of the employees will receive the order to make sure that all items are received from the purchase order. Many times, the order is not complete, requiring a backorder. In addition, a vendor may bunch the orders together, and a shipment may contain more than one PO from the vendor. At the end of the month, the accountant pays the vendors in full for all inventory received.

1. Create an integrated REA diagram that includes both the revenue cycle and the expenditure cycle. You may draw this REA diagram on paper and scan it to PDF or you may draw it electronically using a program such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or LucidCharts.

2. Create all the tables and relationships in Microsoft Access. Each table must identify the primary keys, foreign keys, and any other nonkey attributes you think are necessary. Make sure that all of your relationships "Enforce Referential Integrity". Please name your database as: firstname_lastname_Case name_transaction cycle.accdb.
