Prison designs provide restricted and relevant authority towards the movement of prisoners in the institution. They should monitor the movement of prisoners in and out of the prison premises.This movement should be restricted to prevent the prisoners from running away from prisons as they would cause harm to the society and will also give police officers a hard time in trying to locate them again.Convicted offenders are punished under retribution or just desserts which focuses to restore the balance on the general population other than than offender (Siegel & Bartollas, 2016). Punishment is carried out as away of reshaping or reforming the whole society rather than an individual.This is because the individual who commits a crime is part of the society.By him committing the crime,he represents the criminal behaviors that has cropped up in the entire society.Prisons should thereby teach on morals,ethics and values to all offenders as a way of preventing them from committing crimes in future.
