Liberalism advocates an international environment influenced by cooperation between and among states. Using the Iran nuclear agreement example, it could be argued that liberalism encouraged the states involved in the talks to understand and respect the views of each other even when they saw things differently. It is also important to mention that nongovernmental organization rely heavily on this approach to international relations.Of course, it is evident that states leaning toward realism tend to focus on their own interests and are preoccupied with power and security.A close examination of the tension between the United States and China reveals that both states are not oblivious of the push for greater economic might.Equally important, constructivism could be described as a social, political and economic construct because it encourages us to examine the international system by acknowledging the relevance of important principles, ideas and values. Constructivists would argue that the dynamic nature of international relations is influenced by the recognition that we have to revisit frequently what we have created or established.
