The report will analyse the arguments around the business case for CSR, using research from the academic literature. It will further examine the activities of one company showing leadership in CSR, through the ethical lens.

Assessment Description:

You are to explore the arguments around Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and showcase a company showing leadership in CSR.

The key sections to be included in the report are listed below. All reports must contain a Title page; Executive summary; Table of contents, Introduction; Conclusion; and References list. Your report should explore the following issues.

- State the meaning of Corporate Social Responsibility. (Around 300 words)
- Analyse the arguments in favour of companies practising CSR. (Around 600 words)
- What are the arguments against companies practising CSR. (Around 600 words)
- Highlight the efforts of a company leading in CSR. (Around 300 words)

Appropriate facts and figures must be researched from academic and commercial sources. It is essential to avoid general, unsupported statements. It is also essential to reference all material used - both in-text and at the end of the report.

Research of academic journals is required to examine the case for and against CSR. Also, appropriate facts and figures on the company and industry must be included. A minimum of six separate sources, including the text, are required. It is essential to avoid general, unsupported statements and unreferenced material.
