It is a commonly known idea that marketing is crucial in business because it grabs consumer's attention and brings them into a new market for their product or service. Marketing is of concern of legal and ethical representation because in many cases the advertisements are misleading to the consumer. It can be misleading by leaving out important information about the product or service. It can also show one special sale price for an item, but once the consumer goes to purchase said item it is a completely different price because the advertisement left out details. This is an ethical and legal issue because it is lying to consumers in order to promote their product and drive sales. They are only looking out for their business without concentrating on their consumers.
