For this assessment, imagine that you work for a publicly traded company that is in growth mode. Then, identify another publicly traded company that aligns with your organization's mission and strategy as an acquisition target. Research the target company, including its financial statements and notes, and then prepare an executive-level report analyzing what was discovered during your due diligence. Once you complete your analysis, develop a PowerPoint presentation in which you provide a recommendation to proceed with or decline the purchase of the target.

Part 1: Analysis

Consider the following factors in your analysis:

- Who: Which target or targets did you consider?

- What: What analysis did you use to select the target or targets?

- Where: Where is the target located?

- Why: Why did select this target, and what were the factors?

- When: When will the acquisition occur, and why is this time period important?

- How: How will you structure the transaction?

In addition, include the following in your report:

- Discuss the target company's current financial and operating status.

- Identify and evaluate sources of debt and/or equity financing, determine optimal target capital structure, and determine how the parent will pay for the acquisition.

- Discuss your industry as a whole in the context of the current and future economic climate.

Part 2: Presentation

Create a PowerPoint presentation for your executive-level audience in which you provide a recommendation to proceed with or decline the purchase of the target. Summarize the information from the report you completed for Part 1. Include speaker notes in the "Notes" section of each slide.

Additional Requirements

- Format:Your report should be 8-10 typed, double-spaced pages, excluding the title page, reference page, and any appendices. Use APA formatting for the report. Include speaker's notes with your presentation.

- Written communication: Written communication should be free of errors that detract from the overall message.

- Style and formatting: Your report and presentation should be formatted according to APA style and formatting.

- Font and font size: Times New Roman, 12 point.
