Draw a flowchart of the process for processing applications for admission for undergraduate admission to Metropolitan State University.  For some useful background, please see.

For the purposes of this assignment, you should consider only (a) New entering students (b) transfer students and (c) Post-secondary education option (PSEO) students - you should IGNORE all others (e.g. international, second degree, Power of You, Non-degree seeking).

  1. You MUST state all assumptions you are making that underlie your model - PLZ FOLLOW DIRECT INSTRUCTIONS !!!!!!!!!!!!... IS THIS IS NOT DONE, THE I WILL LOSE POINTS .. you have essentially failed to complete the assignment.
  2. After doing a first draft and coming up with a model that looks like spaghetti, try to redo the model to reduce redundancy and make it look cleaner (this is very important) - try to re-organize the flow of activities so that it flows down and to the right from the left. If you have to use another page, please do so.
  3. Your model should contain both decision diamonds and standard rectangles for activities. You will have to figure out how to click on these shapes so you can type the appropriate text into it.
  4. You should explicitly state questions about the admission process steps that occur to you as a result of generating your model.

As ever, the only way to submit this is to create IN diagram in Vision, (Select All &) Paste it into a Word document, then list your assumptions and questions. The correct template to use in Visio is the "Basic Flowchart"

Please insert an ALSO HAVE A THE first page say:

  • Your name
  • Which module this assignment is for
  • The assignment title (in this case Flowchart)
  • The class and semester (MIS 665 Fall 2017)

The file name for the document you upload to the assignment dropbox for this assignment should be J_SMITH_Flowchart_MIS665 (where J is your first initial and Smith is your last name).
