Use the following 4 steps to write a full 3 page Research Paper. This paper needs to be written in APA format. The thing that is unique about this paper is that you will be required to add an opinion of the accounting profession in your conclusion. Each paper should include the use of 4 sources; one of those sources needs to be an interview with a professional in the concentration of accounting that you choose.

1. Accounting is a broad area of study within that area there are many specific accounting specialties. Choose one of the specialties from the list at the bottom of the page (or another specific one that has been discussed with the instructor). The accounting profession lives by the 3 E's, (education, exam, and experience),research what type of education, on-the-job experience, and professional license(s) it would take to work in your chosen concentration.

2. Research the national average salary for this position. Do not limit yourself to entry level salaries get a range from entry level through the management/partner level of your chosen profession.

3. Interview a professional that holds this position (if you're having trouble finding someone I might be able to assist in this step). Ask your interview subject the questions from question #1. In addition, ask them about their average day, average number of hours they work in a year and if they would do it again if they had the opportunity.

4. **All students must have their paper vetted at the writing center prior to turning in the assignment.
