Question: Assume that you have been assigned to design a professional development program to provide y our schools mentor teachers with knowledge about adult learning and development that will be valuable in helping them assist other teachers in their schools. The program will begin with a one-day introduction of key topics. The program will include follow-up seminars and additional support continuing over a full semester.

· What critical topics regarding adult learning and development would you include in the one-day introductory workshop? Develop a schedule for the first day's program.

· What principles of adult learning would you consider when designing the one-day workshop and why are those important?

· How would the follow-up seminars and support program be designed to maximize opportunities for the mentors to continue learning individually and collaboratively as they work with the other teachers during the remainder of the semester? Explain what topics would be most important to include in the support program for mentors?
