Assignment: Apple, Inc and State Grid Corporation of China
The Session Long Project provides an opportunity to apply ideas and concepts for each module to a real world situations. The assignment has two parts. It is important that you use the same companies as in the first module.
Find information in the annual report, 10-K, or other type of report issued by the corporations. Corporations traded in the US must report and file information with the SEC regarding certain auditor events, for example a change of external auditors. Locate information about external auditing issues. Include the following areas in your discussion.
• Who are the external auditors?
• Did the external auditors rely on other auditors?
• Which specific standards followed?
• What are the main areas of the audit opinion?
• Other external auditing-related issues expressed in corporate filings.
