ASSIGNMENT - Prepare 10-15 slides, including oral presentation on each slide, in APA format (not including the cover slide and reference slide). Remember that you need a cover slide and a references slide.

Suppose you became interested in opening an Engineering for Kids franchise (see Case 15.2 for more information about this company). You fly to the company's headquarters. After learning more about the opportunity, you tell the Engineering for Kids representatives that you're really interested. Based on the information from the representatives, you know that you will need partners in order to obtain funding for the franchise. Using the topics covered in this unit answer the following:

1. What questions should you ask the representatives?

2. What potential future legal issues do you see with this type of business?

3. What intellectual property issues should the franchise address with franchisees.

4. Include (in detail) how the seven step sales process could be applied to this particular type of business.

5. Explain how buying a franchise will help you with your marketing.

Be sure to include initial slides of the premise of the business in order to use as a "sales pitch" to potential investors or partners!
Each slide needs to be narrated meaning that the total presentation needs an audio component, with each slide addressed.

a. For the cover page slide, introduce yourself and on the references slide, thank the audience.

b. If you have not done this before, here is some information to help you add narration to a PowerPoint presentation

3. What qualities do you think GameTruck looks for in prospective franchisees? If you were a prospective franchisee, what questions would you ask the company as part of your due diligence process?

4. Address each of the rhetorical questions at the end of the case. Add two challenges GameTruck may face that are not mentioned in the case. Comment on how problematic each challenge is and if you think the company will successfully deal with both challenges.
