Being SMART with your Goal Setting
Goal setting has to be done smartly. It brings about organization and gives you direction. You have to take control of things to bring control in your life. The best way of achieving this is by setting goals. It will give you taste of success bit by bit. Goal setting requires a lot of thinking and deliberation. You have to know what you want, and then you can set a goal and work towards it.
You have to be precise to define your goal. No one knows you better than yourself. And you know your potential; your strengths and weaknesses. You should develop your strengths and work on your weakness. This helps in making a person better and confident. You should set goals that motivate you and will make you a better person. - Can you do it alone or do you need help?

- Do you have the resources needed for it?
- Are there any limitations?
Before zooming onto your goal, you should do a bit of brainstorming. It is best if you write it down in a diary or journal. Then you can go through it from time to time. Experts say that it's good to make short entries about the goal progress.You should go through your strengths and weaknesses to see whether you are comfortable with the goal. You should also see how much effort and time it will need. After you have made up your mind, try talking to a peer, family member or a mentor. They can guide you better about yourself. Plus, they will also give you ideas. Maybe, your peer will team up to realize the goal. It can be a beginning of a business venture or a partnership. By working together, you will be more motivated. It will also be a learning experiencing. If you are planning on something difficult, then go for it. Nothing is impossible. It will make you determined more than ever. You should be staunch about your goal so that others cannot talk you out of it. The important thing is that you should always remain positive. It will give you a positive outlook. Don't let hurdles or problems discourage you. Take it as a pinch of salt and move on. It's normal to have hurdles here and there. It makes a person stronger and resolute. This is how the world works. You should be confident of yourself. And be determined to take further steps. You shouldn't take a step, then sit down and wait for it to work out itself. You should initiate whatever it takes. By spending more time on your goals, you are stabilising your position. You should be contented. If you are not, then something is wrong. Try to figure out the problem and resolve it. If you prolong the issue, it may become deadly for your goal. It is advisable to keep the track clear and smooth. Success is ultimate.
